“When we received the call that we had won a luxury house in the yourtown Art Union, it took some time to absorb the news and accept it,” the winner of last year’s Draw 458 revealed.

It was one of our most popular prize home draws, with the winner having the choice between a hinterland retreat in Maleny on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast or a coastal escape in Mount Martha at Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

For B of Parkinson in Queensland, it turned out the charm of our Mount Martha property was too good to pass up.

“We had a number of choices to make with this win, which involved our family and the prospect of living in a luxury house overlooking the ocean – which had always been a dream of ours and this came to fruition when we received the news that we were the lucky winners,” they told us.

The news truly was beyond their wildest dreams

“We have been myplace subscribers to this worthy cause for a number of years, we cannot remember for how long, and never thought we would be winners so it was a huge shock when we got this call,” they said.

Having since moved into their incredible, new home, the family said it wasn’t just their accommodation that had changed, but their lifestyle too.

According to B of Parkinson, it “still seems a dream” – one they get to enjoy 24/7.
