yourtown builds the capacity of the local service sector to deliver evidence-based prevention and early intervention strategies to ensure children, from pre-birth to 12 years, have the best start in life.

The Communities for Children program was created in response to a recognised need for prevention and early intervention efforts to achieve positive outcomes for disadvantaged communities throughout Australia.

Since 2008, this program has been funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Social Services.

Our efforts also serve to build the capacity of the local service system to effect greater change over time.
