Kids Helpline @ School making a difference

By: yourtown 29 Apr 2015 Kids Helpline

Our Kids Helpline @ School program aims to increase primary school students’ mental health literacy, digital citizenship and help-seeking behaviour.

HELP.SUPPORT.COUNSELLING.

The program, supported by Optus, has taken off around Australia in the last 12 months with more than 11,000 primary school students signed up for classroom sessions with a counsellor during 2014.

We are so proud of this program which is talking about help seeking in language young people understand and breaking down barriers for children who are afraid or anxious to reach out for support.

With a new school term just beginning we are asking for your help to let parents and teachers know about this important and FREE program.

Please share this post with your networks or visit our Facebook page and share information about Kids Helpline @ School.

If young people want to talk to someone they can call Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or use email or web counselling services.
