Nine-year-old Katie fundraises for KHL

By: yourtown 29 Jun 2015 Kids Helpline

Without donors and fundraisers Kids Helpline would not exist and could not provide vital support and counselling to young Australians.

THANK YOU!

Amazingly generous and committed young people like nine-year-old Katie. She held a sausage sizzle for Kids Helpline at her local supermarket and wrote to tell us all about it.

“I am just letting you know I raised $328.50. I hope this does some good for Kids Helpline, and some extra calls can be answered.”

“My next fundraising idea for Kids Helpline is to walk 10 kilometres along the Redcliffe beach and ask for donations and sponsorship.”

I really want to help Kids Helpline so more kids around Australia can have their calls answered faster. Katie.

Katie and her mother Belinda chatted to ournarangba.com.au about her efforts. Listen here.

The funds raised by Katie will be used to support our team of counsellors who answer the calls, emails and online messages from children and young people in need.

We are so grateful to Katie, and her Mum and Dad for their support.

Community fundraising is that easy. It is as simple as a sausage sizzle. Whether you are running in a marathon, walking in a fun run, or even celebrating a wedding or a birthday, all you have to do is create your own fundraising webpage to let everyone know what you are doing. Find out more.
