Racing for young people in Port Pirie

By: yourtown 24 Feb 2015 BoysTown

The BoysTown Charity Trots Night has raised almost $5,000 for young people in Port Pirie.

SUPPORT. COUNSELLING. EMPLOYMENT.

The race night, now in its tenth year, is our biggest annual fundraiser in Port Pirie and we are thrilled at the support provided by the Harness Club.

Proceeds from pre-sold tickets and raffles at the event allowed the local community to give generously to our important service.

The trots is always a fun night of entertainment and we were so pleased to see so many people join us to support young people – the future of our town. John Waters, BoysTown Port Pirie Site Manager.

We help about 200 young men and women a year in Port Pirie with programs focusing on flexible learning, employment, enterprises and parenting.

You can help right now by buying a ticket in the BoysTown Art Union or making a donation. It will make a difference.

And don’t forget to subscribe to the blog to keep up to date with the latest BoysTown news.
