The Penrose Families Program in Port Pirie offers young parents and soon-to-be parents support and education, whilst giving them a chance to develop new friendships.
Parents and carers play a crucial role in the lives of children and young people. This program helps support them in their role with community connections, family relationships and parenting.
Our program in the local community also includes home visits, advocacy and referral, and case management in schools.
yourtown programs are specifically designed to cater to the changing needs of young people. Helping young parents understand the tasks and responsibilities of parenthood means they can better manage their family life.
This is one of the many counselling and support services delivered by our staff encouraging, valuing, respecting and celebrating parents and their children.
