Quality Assurance
yourtown provides management and corporate infrastructure support for our Enterprises.
This support covers all aspects of financial and human resources management, IT and business systems, workplace health and safety, risk and quality management. The Enterprises are funded through the delivery of fee-for-service contracts with clients in the public, private and community sectors. We have no shareholders and any surplus funds we earn are re-invested in workplace support and training, and in delivering services for the community.
- yourtown has comprehensive quality assurance, workplace health and safety (WHS) management systems and risk management processes in place to ensure our capacity to deliver to the requirements of commercial and government contracts, consistent with the latest industry standards and government regulations.
- Our National Construction Manager is the nominee on yourtown’s Builder's Licences in South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales.
- yourtown's Quality Management System is accredited against ISO 9001:2008 and incorporates compliance elements against relevant industry standards and legislative requirements. Our organisation was recently recognised as a quality management leader in the not-for-profit sector, winning the Queensland and Australian Gold Awards for Business Excellence for 2015 from the Progressing Business Institute (PBI). The PBI Awards recognise private, public and NFP organisations committed to achieving organisational success through best practice.
- yourtown is committed to responsible environmental stewardship, with due recognition given to cultural and heritage considerations. Our organisation complies with relevant environmental legislation and Australian Standards and Codes of Practice in managing possible environmental impacts of projects we deliver. Environmental Management Plans are developed for each job site and there are strict guidelines and standards in place for supplier arrangements. We currently implement components of AS/NZS ISO 14001:2003 Environmental Management.
